Roger Wittenberns' Career
The president Mr.
Roger Wittenberns first began his career in 1975 in the health club
industry in a large 40,000 sq ft Jack Lallanes health club in Fort Lee
New Jersey. He began as a lifeguard and part time instructor soon Roger
was promoted to a personal trainers position, which involved personally
training hundreds of members. Roger was then promoted to the sales
staff. The job required one to be aggressive in the sales process,
which included selling memberships on the spot or committing a member
to bring a referral with them on their next visit.
While all was well Roger Wittenberns was approached by senior executive
of a large competitor, European Health Spas and was offered a job as an
area director of 37 large European Health Spas. After several
outstanding years with European Health Spas Mr. Wittenberns decided to
take the step and open a club of his own. After several rears of
successful operation Roger embarked on a journey to becoming a
Franchisor. Roger relocated to Houston Texas to capitalize on the soft
rental markets, which allowed him to quickly add 10+ clubs to his
chain.
From there Roger Wittenberns began franchising nationwide in
1989 under the Lady of America trademark. Roger sold and built over
1200 Lady of America clubs worldwide. In 2005 Roger sold his majority
interest to Trivest Partners, a Miami based investment group.
Today Roger owns the Zoo health Club. Roger Wittenberns plans on franchising the Zoo health club worldwide. www.zoogym.com
